We scoured the globe for the largest collection of world maps, and then we hand print them in Noosa using ink, canvas & frames of the highest quality. Questions and answers about Personalised Word Art

Will I see a proof?

Yes, we will create a proof of your personalised push pin map for you to review and approve within 2 working days of receiving payment for the order, usually less than 24 hours. You are welcome to request changes to the words and compass design, adding or removing words etc can be made on your request until you are 100% happy with the design. We will then print your art. Allow up to 1 business day per set of requested changes although the usual turnaround time is usually a lot less.

Can I request changes?

It’s a gift, can you not send the Invoice?

We don’t send the invoice with the artwork that’s all as the majority of the Bespoke Pin Map Artworks and it would ruin the surprise a bit if we include an invoice with the price paid.

How are the Canvas Prints / Framed Prints made so that they support the pins?

We use a signature canvas is that has been created specifically to support the pins and keep them stable, for the Framed Push Pin Map Prints, the image is mounted on 5mm foamcore board and pinned into the back of the frame, map pins can then be pushed into the image with the foam backing as there is no glass or acrylic in the front.

Why do the framed prints not have a card mat?

We have now stopped making the framed prints with a card mat as default, due you to the chance that humidity will cause the mat to buckle in time. Due to the necessity for pins to be pushed into the map, they are made without an acrylic/glass cover. If they don't have the clear acrylic or glass on the front, moisture and humidity can affect the edge of the cut out in the centre of the mat and can start to buckle and lift and warp the card. The default will be to print them without a card mat however on request we can still use the mat for the medium and large sizes. However, we offer no guarantees should issues that arise with the card matt overtime.

Does it come with pins included?

Yes they do, each push pin map comes with 30 pins in an assorted select of colours, feel free to add in the notes any requests such as if you want gold and silver pins (these are not normally included but can be), or if you want to choose specific colours.

I made a mistake when I ordered

Don’t worry at all, feel free to email us via the contact form here and just state your name or order number along with the changes you would like to make and we will just simply make a correction when we design the artwork, even if we missed your email at first you’re always welcome to request changes to the proof afterwards.

Can I collect the order in person?

Sure, you are more than welcome to pop by our studio here in Noosaville, Queensland to pick it up, just feel free to write in the notes that you would like to pick it up and we will let you know when it’s ready.
